Edith L. Frierson School Improvement Council

The School Improvement Council (SIC) at Frierson is a broad-based advisory body made up of parents, teachers, and community members. We work with Ms. Smalls to identify and meet the needs of our school as we continuously work toward excellence. We seek to identify ways in which we can improve academic achievement, school climate, as well as teacher, student, and parent engagement.

What Do We Do?

- Provide Input and Feedback on Strategic Improvement Plans and Updates

- Assist in Implementing Improvement Activities

- Monitor and Report on Progress Toward Improvement Goals

“Never Doubt That a Small Group of Thoughtful, Committed Citizens Can Change the World. Indeed, It Is the Only Thing That Ever Has.” Margaret Mead, Anthropologist
